Alas, he had to return the codpiece to the theater company after the show was over. And the one he wore last summer was, well, much less ostentatious. In fact, I'm not even sure it was noticeable.

Want to hear the funny part? That codpiece was Mach 2. Apparently the first one that was made was considered too obscene to put on stage.

I'm sure we've all heard the Horrible Tampon Cancer facts, but as the resident Sexual Health fanatic I can't hold back: if you must dehydrate your body with a foreign object that is not alcohol and does not go in your mouth, make it unbleached. The little cotton bits stick to the inner wall and can contribute to cervical cancer due to a whole bunch of nasty chemicals in them. Unbleached cotton cuts down on the risk.

Personally, I'm a huge fan of lunapads (cloth) and I know many women who swear by The Keeper, a small rubber cup you insert, and I can just tell Jax is going to be green by now so I'll shut up. [img]wink.gif[/img]

OK, granted that for the past fifteen years I really haven't had to worry much about any of these things, but... I've never heard of either a lunapad or a Keeper. Do you get them in the grocery stores? Do they come with directions?

You can find them online or in any progrssive sex shop or health centre. Look out for feminist places - they usually have the scoop on where to find Keepers and cloth pads. There are also Goddess Moon pads, a different brand from lunapads, but essentially the same thing. Up in canada, the supermarket Capers carries them in its natural health section.
